About Guinea:

French is the official language, but many ethnic/indigenous languages are widely spoken. Guinea is a beautiful country with a diverse geography and a rich culture of traditional and contemporary music. Guinea is also very rich in natural resources like bauxite, iron ore, diamonds, gold and oil; however, it is one of the world’s poorest third world countries because the majority of the natural resource mining sites are largely owned by foreign countries and the infrastructure is poorly developed and managed. There is also a lot of instability due to major coup d’etat by the army over the years, but the major setback is the huge gap that exists between the opportunities made available to the upper class versus the lower class, which further creates generational poverty or riches.
